How To Get To Heaven

There's nothing like hearing it from the Author of the Instruction Book himself. Why, with every denomination and church claiming to have a monopoly on the only way to a blessed eternity, it is best to hear from God himself. This is God's way to heaven:

START HERE: Know the truth that God tells about mankind.

As it is written: There is no one righteous, not even one; (Romans 3:10)

There is not a righteous man on earth who does what is right and never sins. (Ecclesiastes 7:20)

...for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God... (Romans 3:23)

—for there is no one who does not sin— (1 Kings 8:46)

We all, like sheep, have gone astray, each of us has turned to his own way; and the LORD has laid on him the iniquity of us all. (Isaiah 53:6)

NEXT: Know that God says he must punish sin.

For every living soul belongs to me, the father as well as the son—both alike belong to me. The soul who sins is the one who will die. (Ezekiel 18:4)

For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.
(Romans 6:23)

NEXT: Know God's remedy for sin.

"Come now, let us reason together," says the LORD. "Though your sins are like scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they are red as crimson, they shall be like wool." (Isaiah 1:18)

But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.
(Romans 5:8)

He himself bore our sins in his body on the tree, so that we might die to sins and live for righteousness; by his wounds you have been healed. (1 Peter 2:24)

But he was pierced for our transgressions, he was crushed for our iniquities; the punishment that brought us peace was upon him, and by his wounds we are healed. (Isaiah 53:5)

...he saved us, not because of righteous things we had done, but because of his mercy. He saved us through the washing of rebirth and renewal by the Holy Spirit... (Titus 3:5)

For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God— not by works, so that no one can boast.
(Ephesians 2:8-9)

NEXT: Know that God wants to save you. He will save you if you follow his instructions.

Whoever believes in the Son has eternal life, but whoever rejects the Son will not see life, for God's wrath remains on him. (John 3:36)

They replied, "Believe in the Lord Jesus, and you will be saved—you and your household."
(Acts 16:31)

All the prophets testify about him that everyone who believes in him receives forgiveness of sins through his name. (Acts 10:43)

For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. (John 3:16)

Jesus did many other miraculous signs in the presence of his disciples, which are not recorded in this book. But these are written that you may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, and that by believing you may have life in his name. (John 20:30-31)

NEXT: Know that God very clearly says that there is only one way to be saved.

Jesus answered, "I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me." (John 14:6)

Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to men by which we must be saved. (Acts 4:12)

Jesus said to her, "I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in me will live, even though he dies; and whoever lives and believes in me will never die. Do you believe this?" (John 11:25-26)

For there is one God and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus...
(1 Timothy 2:5)

FINISH HERE: Christ invites you personally to heaven.

All that the Father gives me will come to me, and whoever comes to me I will never drive away. (John 6:37)

The ball is on your court, dude. You heard it from the Author himself. What are you going to do about it?

See that "How Well Do You Know God" button on this website's sidebar? That's a good next step. I want to stand next to you before my Dad in eternity.

God bless you.
